Spectators: 166 (Terracing: 125, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Vivant's Larry Hallam started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erwin Huygens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilário Bento, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 4thth minute of the game Larry Hallam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Larry Hallam came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Vivant fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Larry Hallam couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Larry Hallam in the 7th minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marin Lipets in the 15th minute of play. When Vivant's Larry Hallam in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Velez Sarsfield's goalie prevented a goal. In the 23rd minute Augusto Cordario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but A.J. 关平 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vivant's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Cordario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After recieving a nice pass, Vivant's Youri Van Der Talen tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Cordario in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck A.J. 关平 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erwin Huygens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Larry Hallam in the 35th minute of the match. After 37 minutes of play, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. A.J. 关平 was left in no man's land by his defense there! Augusto Cordario kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of A.J. 关平. That made the score 4-0 after 44 minutes of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Cordario stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Vivant's Larry Hallam got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that A.J. 关平 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Velez Sarsfield's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Youri Van Der Talen was slow to take the kick. During this time Vivant's players had a chance to rest. Clemente Cisneros made a great header on Vivant's corner, it was just that Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens managed to reach the ball for a save. After 61 minutes Velez Sarsfield's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Youri Van Der Talen who took care of the corner kick. Larry Hallam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erwin Huygens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Erwin Huygens was a little too slow when Hilário Bento got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 5-1. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Ando Averin replaced Marcos Pacifico. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilário Bento in the 90th minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vivant were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Velez Sarsfield's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Youri Van Der Talen took the corner. The corner ended in Hilário Bento almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens did a great save. 96 minutes into the game, Larry Hallam cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-3. Erwin Huygens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vivant players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Velez Sarsfield.
