The crowd rose to their feet as Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Gwidon Pilitowski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arneil Trossero. That made the score 2-0 after 16 minutes of play. After some careless play in the AC Milan defense, Gwidon Pilitowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arneil Trossero. The AC Milan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arneil Trossero should have stopped the shot. Arneil Trossero had great luck who in the 33rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Gwidon Pilitowski from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Arneil Trossero came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Cristopher de Alcântara. But to his dismay, Cristopher de Alcântara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Cristopher de Alcântara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arneil Trossero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. The corner led Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Sixten Gernberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Arneil Trossero despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Arneil Trossero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gwidon Pilitowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristopher de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arneil Trossero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristopher de Alcântara in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Zawisza Bydgoszcz booed when AC Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Bergdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, AC Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Gwidon Pilitowski came free, but Arneil Trossero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gwidon Pilitowski scored 7-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arneil Trossero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. AC Milan's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
