The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Călin Bolborici got free with Daniel Urbasa in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iustinian Comăneci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Daniel Urbasa made a huge save. Daniel Urbasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Călin Bolborici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Victorica in the 16th minute of play forced Gladiadores's goalkeeper Daniel Urbasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Gladiadores's goal looked a bit too open when Stelian Pivniceru came free, but Daniel Urbasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes in the game, Victor Victorica dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 24th minute Marciano Pettinelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radu Tarchilă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, SuperDepor's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Ingemarsson came free, but Radu Tarchilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The supporters of SuperDepor booed when Gladiadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Helmuts Picukāns didn't get a good kick on the ball. Călin Bolborici took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Urbasa. Daniel Urbasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Daniel Urbasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victor Victorica went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Daniel Urbasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Victorica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Călin Bolborici's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Urbasa was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 75th minute, Victor Berdaitz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Radu Tarchilă. The goal made the score 6-1. 77 minutes into the match, SuperDepor's goalkeeper Radu Tarchilă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dan Ambauen. Daniel Urbasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Victorica in the 85th minute of play. SuperDepor's Emil Gârdescu was substituted for Victor Victorica. Daniel Urbasa came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by SuperDepor's Emil Gârdescu. But to his dismay, Emil Gârdescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1.
