Ponciano Abarca started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, River CBBA's Endura Abechuco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anibal Aritza. Anibal Aritza yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Anibal Aritza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergio Batista in the 12th minute. Ponciano Abarca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anibal Aritza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, LA DEL MONO's goalkeeper Anibal Aritza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Endura Abechuco. After having played for 18 minutes, Ponciano Abarca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River CBBA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ponciano Abarca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Endura Abechucos short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Anibal Aritza to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Naike Abalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Cidro in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by River CBBA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Elpidio Guillelmo was slow to take the kick. During this time LA DEL MONO's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Kasper Elssen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Naike Abalos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 25th minute, River CBBA's Endura Abechuco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anibal Aritza. Anibal Aritza yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Anibal Aritza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Endura Abechuco in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute David Evis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naike Abalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naike Abalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Evis in the 34th minute of play. Ponciano Abarca struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Anibal Aritza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River CBBA. Endura Abechuco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Anibal Aritza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when David Evis made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Elpidio Guillelmo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LA DEL MONO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River CBBA the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, LA DEL MONO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Guillelmo to maneuver through the defense. After 53 played minutes, River CBBA's Guerau Abeitia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anibal Aritza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in River CBBA reached it. In the 58th minute of the match, David Evis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Naike Abalos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 60thth minute of the game Juan Funes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LA DEL MONO's Anibal Aritza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st minute, Rigoberto Cordareo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in LA DEL MONO's zone, Guerau Abeitia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anibal Aritza came out of the goal and Guerau Abeitia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. River CBBA's Modesto Ado was substituted for Guerau Abeitia. Juan Funes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Funes in the 66th minute of play forced LA DEL MONO's goalkeeper Anibal Aritza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind LA DEL MONO's goalkeeper Anibal Aritza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Juan Funes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anibal Aritza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Funes, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute, Aaron Anselmino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anibal Aritza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Abechuco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. River CBBA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sergio Batista in the 84th minute. River CBBA's Sergio Batista was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Anibal Aritza in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sergio Batista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anibal Aritza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute Juan Funes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Aritza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. River CBBA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
