Serafin Eate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saul Piarres in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Chusca's zone, Mauro Bezerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafin Eate came out of the goal and Mauro Bezerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Moreira in the 32nd minute of play forced Schuster's goalkeeper Donato Ali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Schuster's Flavio Miconi quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aristides Santo, made in the 34th minute of the game. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Club Atletico Chusca were victorious despite being under pressure from Schuster for much of the match.
