Mauricio Guillelmus was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Timoteo Columbo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Harald Ek hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Eustacio Amaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Academia 1903's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timoteo Columbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 25 played minutes Academia 1903 got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Ezkerra. When Leones Futbol Club's Lázaro Berdoi in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Lázaro Berdoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leones Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Lázaro Berdoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timoteo Columbo was the one to do the kick off. Cirilo Micael hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Eustacio Amaya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Hélio Mangueira made a huge save. Mauricio Guillelmus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Timoteo Columbo went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Mauricio Guillelmus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Morenø, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Leones Futbol Club's Mauricio Guillelmus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Morenø in the 90th minute of play. Hélio Mangueira made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Wilson Dantas sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute Nicanor Morenø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Guillelmus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Academia 1903 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Leones Futbol Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
