Staffan Joensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Waltersdorff, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. AB Tårnby's Kenn Fronval played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Olof Bergendahl in the 14th minute of play. Ian Axelfeldt kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Kenn Fronval showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jim Dahlquist in the 20th minute of the match. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by AB Tårnby's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Johan Bäckman was slow to take the kick. During this time Baxters Boys's players had a chance to rest. If Ian Axelfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Baxters Boys's Uzay Gencalp in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Staffan Joensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dirk Waltersdorff in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ian Axelfeldt to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Baxters Boys got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Norberg. Jacob Armitage received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Staffan Joensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Jan-Olof Bergendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenn Fronval saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th match minute, AB Tårnby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dirk Waltersdorff to maneuver through the defense. Dirk Waltersdorff struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Staffan Joensson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AB Tårnby. Uzay Gencalp who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Kenn Fronval when he managed to save the team from getting behind. AB Tårnby's Kenn Fronval proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save AB Tårnby from getting a goal against them. Uzay Gencalp was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Baxters Boys's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see AB Tårnby lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
