Christiano Ronaldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marílio Regalado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Recreativo FC®'s goalkeeper Marílio Regalado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christiano Ronaldo. Recreativo FC®'s Marílio Regalado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Recreativo FC® from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Recreativo FC® getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Teta Ezequiel Niz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério De Matos in the 29th minute of play forced Unione Sportiva's goalkeeper Fernado Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Recreativo FC®'s goal looked a bit too open when Christiano Ronaldo came free, but Marílio Regalado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Christiano Ronaldo lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Marílio Regalado. After 35 played minutes Recreativo FC® got a freekick which was hit by Rogério De Matos. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christiano Ronaldo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marílio Regalado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiano Ronaldo in the 50th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Christiano Ronaldo notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Recreativo FC®'s Marílio Regalado. Marílio Regalado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marílio Regalado came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Unione Sportiva's Christiano Ronaldo. But to his dismay, Christiano Ronaldo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Cassiano Vilas Boas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unione Sportiva's supporters rose to their feet, but Cassiano Vilas Boas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marílio Regalado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marílio Regalado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tao Kun Xuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. When Unione Sportiva's Christiano Ronaldo in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Marílio Regalado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassiano Vilas Boas, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute, Teta Ezequiel Niz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Recreativo FC® defense, Christiano Ronaldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marílio Regalado. The Recreativo FC® fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marílio Regalado should have stopped the shot. After 91 minutes, Lourenço Lentilha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Recreativo FC® and the Unione Sportiva players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marílio Regalado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiano Ronaldo in the 92nd minute of play. There was no doubt that Unione Sportiva were the better team. Unione Sportiva's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
