Jakab Boross fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Ege Yalaz having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Sarı kaya FK's Hayrettin Yaşam slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Attila Mesterházy. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. 11 minutes into the match, Hayrettin Yaşam had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Attila Mesterházy. RedBull Diósgyőr FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hayrettin Yaşam was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 14 minutes into the match, RedBull Diósgyőr FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Haşim Çelikkan came free, but Attila Mesterházy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Ahmet Haşim Çelikkan put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Attila Mesterházy. With a little luck, RedBull Diósgyőr FC's Attila Mesterházy got control of the ball when Serafim Mangueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute Hayrettin Yaşam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attila Mesterházy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sarı kaya FK's Hayrettin Yaşam got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute of the match, Serafim Mangueira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Attila Mesterházy was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ahmet Ege Yalaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakab Boross, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Nándor Szekeres fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RedBull Diósgyőr FC's protests and gave Nándor Szekeres a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sarı kaya FK booed when RedBull Diósgyőr FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nándor Szekeres didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Kálmán Kozák hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute Çağrı Polatkılıç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attila Mesterházy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafim Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Attila Mesterházy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jakab Boross to strike the kick off in the second half. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sarı kaya FK reached it. In the 70th minute, Hayrettin Yaşam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sarı kaya FK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
