Dário Pinho had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Jo Blanchaert's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 21 minutes, Antonello Roccuzzo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Average Joes's Ivar Björling tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Soned in the 27th minute of play forced SHIZUOKA FC's goalkeeper Dário Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

After 51 played minutes Average Joes got a freekick which was hit by Martin Morat. Antonello Roccuzzo in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ivar Björling, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 58 played minutes SHIZUOKA FC got a freekick which was hit by Fede Valverde. The supporters of SHIZUOKA FC booed when Average Joes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yavuz Bülent Özger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fede Valverde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Average Joes's Ivar Björling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Policarpio in the 73rd minute of play. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
