The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Cayetano Lluciano got free with Zula Kosiorek in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Szczakowianka's Zula Kosiorek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Szczakowianka from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute, Donald Voldfrom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 88 played minutes Szczakowianka got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Lain. Ramlan Kussoy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Szczakowianka fans cheered their team off the field, for while Piquirenda FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
