Franciszek Wydrych came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Club Celta de Vigo's Renato Tapia. But to his dismay, Renato Tapia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Pepe Toxeiro made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Marian Koprowski sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomir Fabiszak in the 17th minute of play forced Real Club Celta de Vigo's goalkeeper Pepe Toxeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Renato Tapia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franciszek Wydrych was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Pepe Toxeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radomir Fabiszak in the 29th minute of the match. Ferman Torres lost his temper 30 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Ferman Torres hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Guillermo Marin struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Franciszek Wydrych didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Club Celta de Vigo. In the 38th of the match, Eddie Majman tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Pepe Toxeiro got in the way and made a wonderful save. Franciszek Wydrych stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renato Tapia's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Pepe Toxeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddie Majman in the 41st minute of the match. Renato Tapia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Artur Juchno was the one to do the kick off. Pepe Toxeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Juchno, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Pepe Toxeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from A.J. 张飞 in the 57th minute of play. In the 64th minute Radomir Fabiszak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepe Toxeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pepe Toxeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radomir Fabiszak in the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Renato Tapia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomir Fabiszak in the 68th minute of play forced Real Club Celta de Vigo's goalkeeper Pepe Toxeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franciszek Wydrych took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Arias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Everardo Arias who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Franciszek Wydrych when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Everardo Ariass short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Franciszek Wydrych to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Real Club Celta de Vigo's Pepe Toxeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Juchno in the 84th minute of play. Franciszek Wydrych didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Everardo Arias went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The Real Club Celta de Vigo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Real Club Celta de Vigo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
