Tudor Mihoc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute Alessandro Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Mihoc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitinho Toledo charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vitinho Toledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 42 played minutes Buitenhout FC got a freekick which was hit by Vitinho Toledo. In the 43rd minute of the match Stamen Kirchev shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tudor Mihoc showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yorrick Hekman in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gică Lucescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 46 minutes into the match, Buitenhout FC's goalkeeper Tudor Mihoc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Saul Cilio.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sjaak Degens to make the kick off. Sjaak Degens hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match.
