An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Hedström in the 5th minute of play forced NAGANO F.C's goalkeeper Vellito Alguerdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Jari Alenius lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Emanuel Sigfridsson. The audience was convinced that Jari Alenius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Sigfridsson was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Jari Alenius succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 12th playminute. Emanuel Sigfridsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jari Alenius in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, IKS Norrköping's Tobias Blomqvist got a free kick in the 20th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Dahlman in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vellito Alguerdo saved NAGANO F.C from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, IKS Norrköping's goal looked a bit too open when Jari Alenius came free, but Emanuel Sigfridsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind IKS Norrköping's goalkeeper Emanuel Sigfridsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emanuel Sigfridsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jari Alenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute.

Emanuel Sigfridsson came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by NAGANO F.C's Jari Alenius. But to his dismay, Jari Alenius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Tobias Blomqvist hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Emanuel Sigfridsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jari Alenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, NAGANO F.C's Jari Alenius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Sigfridsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emanuel Sigfridsson came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by NAGANO F.C's Jari Alenius. But to his dismay, Jari Alenius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. NAGANO F.C's Vellito Alguerdo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Dahlman in the 70th minute of play. NAGANO F.C's Thorbjörn Hong quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Per-Åke Holmgren, made in the 74th minute of the game. Emanuel Sigfridsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jari Alenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the IKS Norrköping defense, Jari Alenius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Sigfridsson. The IKS Norrköping fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Sigfridsson should have stopped the shot. NAGANO F.C made a substitution. Gabriel Batistuta replaced Jari Alenius. Emanuel Sigfridsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Batistuta in the 84th minute of the match. After having played for 86 minutes, Gabriel Batistuta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NAGANO F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Batistuta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pelle Jönsätt came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vellito Alguerdo could save by the left post. 89 minutes into the match, Gabriel Batistuta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Sigfridsson. IKS Norrköping's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Batistuta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. NAGANO F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
