When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Javier Agudo sped through Los Súper Galácticos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adrian Spineanu. 86 minutes into the match, Ramiro Piorno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomas Brandt. Alianza Trujillo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ramiro Piorno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Alianza Trujillo's Carlos Marchena got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute José Puch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Spineanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes in the game, José Puch dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal.
