Arthur Bufi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taurino Torrealba, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Arthur Bufi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Perfumo in the 5th minute of play. In the last second Serafo Casuso throw himself and got hold of the ball when Brock Friend in the 6thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Taurino Torrealba in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arthur Bufi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Taurino Torrealba sped through Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arthur Bufi. In the 11th minute Edmílson Perfumo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Bufi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Arthur Bufi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Perfumo in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Gilson Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, TiGrEs Fx's goalkeeper Serafo Casuso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brock Friend. After 19 minutes TiGrEs Fx's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Simões who took care of the corner kick. 余永川 was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Edmílson Perfumo managed to get in a good position for a shot. TiGrEs Fx's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmílson Perfumo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arthur Bufi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute, 余永川 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafo Casuso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's 余永川 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Serafo Casuso. That made the score 2-1 after 28 minutes of play. When Gilson Rezende fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's protests and gave Gilson Rezende a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cruzeiro Esporte Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! In the 35th minute there was a penalty for TiGrEs Fx. Aldo-Eduardo Negrete stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arthur Bufi. 2-2. A collision led to Cruzeiro Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Gilson Rezende hit a great ball. Arthur Bufi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmílson Perfumo in the 44th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Celsinho Castro got a free kick in the 45th minute. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Douglas Botelho was substituted for Gilson Rezende. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Taurino Torrealba to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Juan Pablo Sorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serafo Casuso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 余永川 in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute Cruzeiro Esporte Clube were awarded a corner. Daniel Simões went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Daniel Simões almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but TiGrEs Fx's Serafo Casuso did a great save. Serafo Casuso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brock Friend's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. In the 74th minute 余永川 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafo Casuso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th match minute, TiGrEs Fx was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikolas Laredo to maneuver through the defense. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Manfredo Queirós was substituted for Celsinho Castro. 余永川's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafo Casuso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Taurino Torrealba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arthur Bufi was relentless in the 80th minute of the game.
