With a little luck, Jovens Democratas MZC's Manoel Neuer got control of the ball when Ignacio Gaig tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rozarius Sanjurjo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval de Queirós in the 9th minute of play. After 10 minutes of play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Dobromir Zagrodny made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rozarius Sanjurjo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ignacio Gaig who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Manoel Neuer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Deportivo Ortegano's Rozarius Sanjurjo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dobromir Zagrodny in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Dobromir Zagrodny notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Deportivo Ortegano's Rozarius Sanjurjo. Rozarius Sanjurjo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes into the match, Deportivo Ortegano's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Cruz came free, but Rozarius Sanjurjo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manoel Neuer acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from John Apelkvist. After the first half Jovens Democratas MZC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronald Vordenbäumen to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xu Li Sang got free with Rozarius Sanjurjo in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeferson Cunha in the 90th minute of play forced Deportivo Ortegano's goalkeeper Rozarius Sanjurjo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Jovens Democratas MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percival Mangueira to maneuver through the defense.
