Genzo Wakabayashi came out of the goal and Luisinho Lira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 5 minutes into the game, Miro Titos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VILLARREAL UNITED's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joinville Esporte Clube the free kick. The supporters of Joinville Esporte Clube booed when VILLARREAL UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miro Titos didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Golo Oolo in the 18th minute of play forced Joinville Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Eriberto Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joinville Esporte Clube's Eriberto Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Golo Oolo in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Miro Titos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 played minutes Joinville Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Célio Torres. Joinville Esporte Clube's Eriberto Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Golo Oolo in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisinho Lira in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Genzo Wakabayashi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cresitobalo Molina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eriberto Leão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. VILLARREAL UNITED's Golo Oolo got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eriberto Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Golo Oolo in the 35th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Joinville Esporte Clube defense, Golo Oolo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eriberto Leão. The Joinville Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eriberto Leão should have stopped the shot. After the first half VILLARREAL UNITED were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Golo Oolo to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Joinville Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Eriberto Leão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Golo Oolo. With a little luck, Joinville Esporte Clube's Eriberto Leão got control of the ball when Inautzi Ramiréz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Genzo Wakabayashi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Lira in the 56th minute of play. Genzo Wakabayashi came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville Esporte Clube's Deivid Montenegro. But to his dismay, Deivid Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When Joinville Esporte Clube's Luisinho Lira in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VILLARREAL UNITED's goalie prevented a goal. When Inautzi Ramiréz fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VILLARREAL UNITED's protests and gave Inautzi Ramiréz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Joinville Esporte Clube booed when VILLARREAL UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inautzi Ramiréz didn't get a good kick on the ball. VILLARREAL UNITED's Elvis Figueres was substituted for Delmar Cuervas. VILLARREAL UNITED's Iyan Flores was substituted for Cresitobalo Molina. Inautzi Ramiréz kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Luisinho Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 played minutes Joinville Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gilmar Velloso. Golo Oolo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Eriberto Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tsubasa Ozora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Golo Oolo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Leão having to interfere. Joinville Esporte Clube's Eriberto Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvis Figueres in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute Golo Oolo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Joinville Esporte Clube's Fellipe Seco got a free kick in the 90th minute. VILLARREAL UNITED's Tsubasa Ozora got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. VILLARREAL UNITED walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
