The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mainumby's Santiago Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Iraunkor in the 3rd minute of play. Santiago Gau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Iraunkor, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After having played for 6 minutes, Anacleto Ciceron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anacleto Ciceron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santiago Gau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Veronica in the 8th minute of the match. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mainumby's goalkeeper Santiago Gau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Nereo Florinio came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nereo Florinio couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Mainumby booed when Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Nayely didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeo Olivar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nereo Florinio kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Sergio Larra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santiago Gau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Silvestre Veronica dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Santiago Gau, 1-0. A collision led to Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Nereo Florinio hit a great ball. Luis Semeno kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Anacleto Ciceron might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Gau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anacleto Ciceron ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfredo Iraunkor did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Santiago Gau 31 minutes into the match. Lino Castel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Santiago Gau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santiago Gau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Veronica in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Mainumby's Candido Cugat was substituted for Candido Suero. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isaac Urtungo was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ booed when Mainumby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Semeno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anacleto Ciceron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mainumby booed when Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Ciceron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Silvestre Veronica got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 62 minutes into the game, Lino Castel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mainumby the free kick. Isaac Urtungo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Berriotxoa having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Iraunkor in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Gau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 69thth minute of the game Alfredo Iraunkor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mainumby's Santiago Gau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Silvestre Veronica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Gau having to interfere. Santiago Gau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Ciceron in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mainumby's zone, Alfredo Iraunkor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Gau came out of the goal and Alfredo Iraunkor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 87 minutes, Erubiel Beltran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ and the Mainumby players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Erubiel Beltran got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute Alfredo Iraunkor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Gau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Alfredo Iraunkor got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Olarticoechea's late challenge caught a Mainumby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julio Olarticoechea helped the player get up and apologised. Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
