Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Clemente Herena started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rigoberto Santxol during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Mainumby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Santxol to maneuver through the defense. Clemente Herena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Santiago Gau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute Leo Ursino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Gau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Mainumby's goalkeeper Santiago Gau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clemente Herena. The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when Mainumby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Santxol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leo Ursino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Clemente Herena notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Mainumby's Santiago Gau. Santiago Gau was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amadeo Jatsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Ilazki in the 24th minute of play. Santiago Gau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Medina in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edinson Cavani in the 32nd minute of play forced Mainumby's goalkeeper Santiago Gau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Clemente Herena made a precise shot to the right of Santiago Gau. Mainumby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. 47 minutes into the game, Clemente Herena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Santiago Gau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mainumby's Candido Cugat was substituted for Amadeo Olivar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benigno Ilazki to make the kick off. Santiago Gau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Ursino, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Edinson Cavani sped through Mainumby's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Santiago Gau. The audience was convinced that Edinson Cavani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Gau was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Silvio Quinteros got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 9-0. 66 minutes into the match. If Leo Ursino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santiago Gau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Herena in the 71st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edinson Cavani in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Gau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santiago Gau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Herena, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Paulino Lizardi kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Edinson Cavani struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Santiago Gau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abuba Akotonon FC. Santiago Gau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Medina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Clemente Herena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abuba Akotonon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Clemente Herena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Gau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 95 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Leo Ursino. In the 97th minute, Edinson Cavani left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Abuba Akotonon FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. Abuba Akotonon FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
