After 2 played minutes Mainumby got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Olivar. In the 3rd minute Guo Jing Yuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Gau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márk Kuti in the 7th minute of play forced Mainumby's goalkeeper Santiago Gau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Gau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guo Jing Yuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The supporters of Edelényi Bányász booed when Mainumby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Curcio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Guo Jing Yuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Gau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Mainumby's goal looked a bit too open when Guo Jing Yuan came free, but Santiago Gau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Márk Kuti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Gau having to interfere. A collision led to Mainumby getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Honorato Omero hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Guo Jing Yuan sped through Mainumby's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Santiago Gau. Mainumby's Santiago Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guo Jing Yuan in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guo Jing Yuan in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Gau saved Mainumby from getting behind. After having played for 30 minutes, Guo Jing Yuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Edelényi Bányász's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guo Jing Yuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Márk Kuti scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santiago Gau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Santiago Gau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Márk Kuti in the 41st minute of play. Edelényi Bányász's Guo Jing Yuan got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 0-3 became the score in the 43rd minute when Guo Jing Yuan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Santiago Gau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guo Jing Yuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Károly Sándor during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mainumby booed when Edelényi Bányász was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Károly Sándor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mainumby's Candido Cugat was substituted for Amadeo Olivar. Mainumby's Isaac Urtungo was substituted for Benigno Ilazki. After 49 played minutes Edelényi Bányász got a freekick which was hit by Károly Sándor. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isaac Urtungo to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Mainumby's goal looked a bit too open when Siniša Mihajlović came free, but Santiago Gau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mainumby's Santiago Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guo Jing Yuan in the 54th minute of play. Mainumby's Santiago Gau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Mainumby from getting a goal against them. In the 58th minute, Márton Baló left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Edelényi Bányász fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Luis Semeno hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Santiago Gau stood somewhat misplaced when Guo Jing Yuan came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 64 minute. Edelényi Bányász's Örs Markó was substituted for Iván Cordoba. Edelényi Bányász's Gábor Csongrádi was substituted for Márton Baló. Gerardo Oinatz struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Pál Dankó didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mainumby. In the 73rd minute Márk Kuti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Gau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guo Jing Yuan in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Santiago Gau, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 75 minutes, Armando Beltza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mainumby and the Edelényi Bányász players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Armando Beltza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the game, Lajos Murai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Santiago Gau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 80 minutes into the match, Guo Jing Yuan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Santiago Gau, 0-7. Santiago Gau came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Edelényi Bányász's Gábor Csongrádi. But to his dismay, Gábor Csongrádi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. With a little luck, Mainumby's Santiago Gau got control of the ball when Guo Jing Yuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Mainumby's goalkeeper Santiago Gau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Siniša Mihajlović. The crowd rose to their feet as Edelényi Bányász's Guo Jing Yuan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Santiago Gau. That made the score 0-9 after 93 minutes of play. Santiago Gau came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Edelényi Bányász's Gábor Csongrádi. But to his dismay, Gábor Csongrádi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10. When the match was over Edelényi Bányász could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mainumby throughout the match.
