Clapham Comets F.C.'s Conan Shields played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Big Boba in the 13th minute of play. Big Boba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Conan Shields tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sly Percival could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Steve Van der Veeken made a huge save. Conan Shields made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Big Boba in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of Purple Talents booed when Clapham Comets F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geoff Ansell didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco Overmars stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 92nd minute Antonio Sens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conan Shields saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clapham Comets F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Antonio Sens scored to the left of an out of position Conan Shields, making the score, 1-9. The Clapham Comets F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Purple Talents's performance. The match ended with a win for Purple Talents.
