After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of FALCÕES VERDES booed when Olympique Gdynia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şota Arveladze didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Olympique Gdynia's zone, Pietro Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tanek Ostrowski came out of the goal and Pietro Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 59 played minutes FALCÕES VERDES got a freekick which was hit by Lucjan Winograd. In the 71st minute, Tirso Isasaga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomás Fernandes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. FALCÕES VERDES's Sílvio Luís Gerber was substituted for Lucjan Winograd. FALCÕES VERDES's Betinho Lenzi was substituted for Pietro Santos. FALCÕES VERDES's Gugu Mello was substituted for Juvenal Urbano. 79 minutes into the match, FALCÕES VERDES's goal looked a bit too open when Şota Arveladze came free, but Thomás Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tanek Ostrowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu Mello in the 81st minute of play. Thomás Fernandes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stanislaw Walczak's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. When the match was over Olympique Gdynia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FALCÕES VERDES throughout the match.
