Silvano Blech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raido Pulver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raido Pulver in the 16th minute of play forced RD Hamburg's goalkeeper Silvano Blech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th match minute, RD Hamburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrea Pirlo to maneuver through the defense. Dirk Gulder made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Kings's Costică Coadã. Silvano Blech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raido Pulver in the 21st minute of play. Raido Pulver spun around in front of the goal 36 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of RD Hamburg's goal. Haşim Batüralp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Bautista in the 40th minute of play. The throw-in from Ariel Bautista in the 41st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Kings's Håkon Bjernemose. Haşim Batüralp came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by RD Hamburg's Filippo Di Martino. But to his dismay, Filippo Di Martino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After the first half Kings were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raido Pulver was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Raido Pulver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kings's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raido Pulver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, RD Hamburg's Silvano Blech got control of the ball when Raido Pulver tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raido Pulver might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvano Blech. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raido Pulver ran back to his position shaking his head. Raido Pulver could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Silvano Blech made a huge save. If Raido Pulver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kings's Håkon Bjernemose managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Siegmund Schenk in the 69 minute of the game. 69 minutes into the match, RD Hamburg's goal looked a bit too open when Raido Pulver came free, but Silvano Blech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raido Pulver succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 72nd playminute.
