The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zacarias Cabrero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Grabert in the 3rd minute of the match. Azul Y Plomo's Felix Torres quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Boruc Glogowski, made in the 6th minute of the game. Bengt-Arne Askstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Navarro Rojas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Azul Y Plomo's Hector Bobis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bengt-Arne Askstedt. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. Edwin Grabert might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zacarias Cabrero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edwin Grabert ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 20th minute, Edwin Grabert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zacarias Cabrero was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Bengt-Arne Askstedt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hector Bobis in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute Edwin Grabert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Cabrero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Savage Hippo's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Askstedt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hector Bobis. Edwin Grabert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Cabrero having to interfere. With a little luck, Savage Hippo's Bengt-Arne Askstedt got control of the ball when Hector Bobis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Azul Y Plomo's goal looked a bit too open when Owen Tomaszewski came free, but Zacarias Cabrero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Azul Y Plomo's Zacarias Cabrero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Grabert in the 40th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 55th minute Hector Bobis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Arne Askstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Azul Y Plomo made a substitution. José Macías replaced Navarro Rojas. Azul Y Plomo's Oswaldo Moran was substituted for Teo Alberdi. Azul Y Plomo were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Savage Hippo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. José Macías took the corner. Hector Bobis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Arne Askstedt having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Edwin Grabert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zacarias Cabrero was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 75th minute Oswaldo Moran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Arne Askstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edwin Grabert who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Zacarias Cabrero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bengt-Arne Askstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Bobis in the 87th minute of play. Azul Y Plomo:s Zacarias Cabrero showed great skill when he stopped Martynas Jaras:s penalty. Salas Larrinzar hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Azul Y Plomo's Latif Biçim was substituted for Hector Bobis. In the 93rd match minute, Azul Y Plomo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salas Larrinzar to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Edwin Grabert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Savage Hippo's supporters rose to their feet, but Edwin Grabert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zacarias Cabrero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 97th minute, Latif Biçim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Azul Y Plomo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Azul Y Plomo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
