The audience thought a goal was coming when Aras Görkem Kaymaz got free with Vito Rezende in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute, MZ Fénix's Aras Görkem Kaymaz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vito Rezende. Vito Rezende yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 19th minute, Liberland's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ivan Nyberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Liberland's goalkeeper Vito Rezende, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 23rd minute of the match MZ Fénix got a corner. Liberland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aras Görkem Kaymaz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cai Yuan Yuan scored 2-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vito Rezende, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vicente Xabier's late challenge caught a MZ Fénix's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vicente Xabier helped the player get up and apologised. MZ Fénix were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Liberland's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aras Görkem Kaymaz took the corner. Aras Görkem Kaymaz made a great header on MZ Fénix's corner, it was just that Liberland's Vito Rezende managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 34 minutes, Cai Yuan Yuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MZ Fénix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cai Yuan Yuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cai Yuan Yuan in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vito Rezende prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Francisco Ixaka came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Liberland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Ixaka couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Liberland's goalkeeper Vito Rezende, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Tomasz Waldoch got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vito Rezende quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Ivan Nyberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. MZ Fénix's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Nyberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vito Rezende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cai Yuan Yuan took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vito Rezende. Vito Rezende dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Vito Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cai Yuan Yuan in the 68th minute of the match. Cai Yuan Yuan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vito Rezende read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. MZ Fénix's Adalberto Viegas was substituted for Cai Yuan Yuan. Vito Rezende was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 84 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's Adalberto Viegas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vito Rezende narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adalberto Viegas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vito Rezende read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute MZ Fénix were awarded a corner. Aras Görkem Kaymaz went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Vladimiro Granja to score against Vito Rezende in Liberland's goal. 5-0 after 87 minutes. If Adalberto Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vito Rezende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalberto Viegas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimiro Granja kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
