With a little luck, Itajaí Football Club's Marcelo Galvão got control of the ball when Pascual Macia tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Itajaí Football Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carles Miramont was slow to take the kick. During this time Red Hawk Football Club's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Joan Canosa managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Pascual Macia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Galvão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Itajaí Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Macia came free, but Marcelo Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Itajaí Football Club's Marcelo Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Macia in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Itajaí Football Club's Luís Fabiano Meirelles got a free kick in the 29th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Red Hawk Football Club's Pascual Macia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Galvão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcelo Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Macia, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute of the match Red Hawk Football Club got a corner. Itajaí Football Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carles Miramont ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joan Canosa was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Marcelo Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Macia in the 43rd minute of play. Jaume Vilardell kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 53rd minute Pascual Macia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Itajaí Football Club's Marcelo Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaume Vilardell in the 55th minute of play. Marcelo Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carles Miramont, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Marcelo Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Macia in the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Carles Miramont had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Galvão. Itajaí Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carles Miramont was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Red Hawk Football Club's Aleix Rosanes was substituted for Carles Miramont. In the 68th minute, Aleix Rosanes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Galvão was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Marcelo Galvão came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Red Hawk Football Club's Pascual Macia. But to his dismay, Pascual Macia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Itajaí Football Club's Marcelo Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Macia in the 83rd minute of play. 83 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Red Hawk Football Club's Pascual Macia fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferran Planes in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Galvão saved Itajaí Football Club from getting behind. The Red Hawk Football Club fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Red Hawk Football Club's Ferran Planes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 91 minutes into the game, Red Hawk Football Club's Joan Canosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Galvão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. 95 minutes into the match, Pascual Macia notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Itajaí Football Club's Marcelo Galvão. Marcelo Galvão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
