Maximo Dei was slow to take the kick. During this time Estudiantes de América's players had a chance to rest. Jakub Ferfecki tried in the 20th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Boguslaw Siwek a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-0. A collision led to Estudiantes de América getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Prospero Gabirel hit a great ball. Kraig Fred kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Marcos Ranolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Rocendo in the 28th minute of play. Marcos Ranolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georgi Kinkladze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kraig Fred in the 48th minute of play forced Powiśle Warszawa's goalkeeper Boguslaw Siwek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lorenzo Rocendo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de América's Cornelio Ruisko got a free kick in the 51st minute. Marcos Ranolfo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Georgi Kinkladze went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.
