Vítor Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin van der Sar having to interfere. After 21 played minutes Granadero10 got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Botelho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerónimo Furtado in the 23rd minute of play forced Granadero10's goalkeeper Zhao Ping Hui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, União Sport Clube Paredes's Edwin van der Sar got control of the ball when Laércio Penha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zhao Ping Hui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Quilo in the 41st minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Granadero10 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Zhao Ping Hui had in the 45thth minute some difficulties stopping Jerónimo Furtado's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Zhao Ping Hui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerónimo Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laércio Penha was the one to do the kick off. Laércio Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zhao Ping Hui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerónimo Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zhao Ping Hui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Quilo in the 55th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Granadero10's Laércio Penha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edwin van der Sar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zhao Ping Hui stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerónimo Furtado's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. With a little luck, Granadero10's Zhao Ping Hui got control of the ball when Jerónimo Furtado tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute Vítor Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alexandre Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th match minute, Granadero10 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laércio Penha to maneuver through the defense. Zhao Ping Hui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Quilo, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Zhao Ping Hui made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Alexandre Santana sent off a good shot on target.
