Universitario de deportes's Lucas Rallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zdeněk Zápotocký in the 3rd minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Universitario de deportes's Hugo Saboya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zheng Jian Yi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lucas Rallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vic Angelsø in the 33rd minute of the match. Emilio Vedillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Lucas Rallo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Saboya's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zheng Jian Yi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Lucas Rallo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vic Angelsø in the 48th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

FC Chorchoj's Lautaro-Gabriel Martinez was substituted for Lubor Šauer. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Saboya was the one to do the kick off. Zheng Jian Yi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from J.P. Morgan in the 75th minute of the match. FC Chorchoj's Zheng Jian Yi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Morley in the 76th minute of play. Universitario de deportes were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after FC Chorchoj's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jorge Olaechea took the corner. In the 80th minute of the match, Vic Angelsø got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lucas Rallo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roman Zima in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zheng Jian Yi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 85th minute, Hildeberto Brás hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 86 played minutes FC Chorchoj got a freekick which was hit by Martin Ledvina. In the 91st minute Universitario de deportes were awarded a corner. Jorge Olaechea went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Jorge Olaechea almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Chorchoj's Zheng Jian Yi did a great save. Universitario de deportes's Lucas Rallo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Universitario de deportes from getting a goal against them. In the 95th match minute, Universitario de deportes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hildeberto Brás to maneuver through the defense. FC Chorchoj's Edmondo Coco got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Chorchoj's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
