Nistor Pătran made a great header on Rovine Craiova's corner, it was just that Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Nae Costin managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 13th minute, Dacian Patrichi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rovine Craiova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 39 played minutes, Rovine Craiova's Nistor Pătran shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nae Costin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rovine Craiova reached it. A collision led to Rovine Craiova getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Jerry Gane hit a great ball. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rovine Craiova were winning 0-1.

Mihnea Măcriș kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Nicodim Voiculescu hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Jerry Gane ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nae Costin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Dacian Erbașu got a free kick in the 68th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Nistor Pătran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rovine Craiova's supporters rose to their feet, but Nistor Pătran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nae Costin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nae Costin was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Sandu Munteanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sandu Munteanu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Nae Costin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandu Munteanu in the 84th minute of play. When Jerry Gane came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Rovine Craiova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerry Gane couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute, Rovine Craiova's Sandu Munteanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nae Costin. Nae Costin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Basarab Lelescu got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Basarab Lelescu kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Rovine Craiova played a much better game than Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- and deserved their victory. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
