Shi Ming Sheng blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gheorghe Baldovin having to make a save. 18 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Ming Sheng came free, but Gheorghe Baldovin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the game Flavius Drâmba made a throw-in which Flavius Drâmba played forward. The audience was convinced that Shi Ming Sheng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gheorghe Baldovin was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Avram Elenescu in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Crețu prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shi Ming Sheng stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Panait in the 60th minute of play forced FC Buzău's goalkeeper Gheorghe Baldovin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
