The audience was convinced that Laerte Lucas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Didi Tróia was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. With a little luck, ContraVersão's Didi Tróia got control of the ball when Olavo Matorin tried to sneak it across the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Laerte Lucas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Didi Tróia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Laerte Lucas sped through ContraVersão's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Didi Tróia. Ronaldo Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luís Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The ContraVersão players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
