FRIENDS CITY's Wágner Prado managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Froilan Jurdan in the 11 minute of the game. In the 32nd minute Carolo Bizen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustão de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Bizen in the 35th minute of play forced FRIENDS CITY's goalkeeper Faustão de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Yala's Meng Yue Yin got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The throw-in from Meng Yue Yin in the 55th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FRIENDS CITY's Emílio Santana. The supporters of Yala booed when FRIENDS CITY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute, Emílio Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Faustão de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Abarca in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute, one of FRIENDS CITY:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FRIENDS CITY. Faustão de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Ritchie in the 67th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, FRIENDS CITY's goal looked a bit too open when Yavuz Acabay came free, but Faustão de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Niceto Martxel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the FRIENDS CITY defense, Armando Ritchie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Faustão de Carvalho. The FRIENDS CITY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Faustão de Carvalho should have stopped the shot. FRIENDS CITY's Faustão de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Valentine in the 79th minute of play. After 83 minutes, Armando Ritchie made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. FRIENDS CITY's Faustão de Carvalho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Armando Ritchie came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Yala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Ritchie couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Armando Ritchie sped through FRIENDS CITY's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Faustão de Carvalho.
