Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) U21 Portugal's Pascoal Antas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Georges-Philippe Kissinger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Santana in the 6th minute of the match. Mehran Utandıbalayev scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Georges-Philippe Kissinger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Georges-Philippe Kissinger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerónimo Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the game, Jerónimo Furtado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Georges-Philippe Kissinger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th minute Jerónimo Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georges-Philippe Kissinger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Lambe Kü was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. União Sport Clube Paredes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Portugal the free kick. After 22 played minutes União Sport Clube Paredes got a freekick which was hit by Lambe Kü. Edwin van der Sar was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Gusmão Candeias capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gusmão Candeias really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. 27 minutes in the game, Roman Quilo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 40th match minute, U21 Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Furtado to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute Roman Quilo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georges-Philippe Kissinger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Jerónimo Furtado made the kick off in the second half. Georges-Philippe Kissinger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Quilo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Gaspar Mascarenhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, U21 Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Jerónimo Furtado came free, but Georges-Philippe Kissinger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, U21 Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Quilo came free, but Georges-Philippe Kissinger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Alexandre Santana could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Georges-Philippe Kissinger however easily saved by the left post. After 85 minutes, Victor Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Portugal and the União Sport Clube Paredes players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 85 played minutes U21 Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Victor Sousa. Roman Quilo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Georges-Philippe Kissinger came out and tried to block the shot, but Roman Quilo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 86th minute. Alexandre Santana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Georges-Philippe Kissinger made a huge save. After 92nd play minutes Dabi Saens shot 1-7, a short shot which went by Georges-Philippe Kissinger and just under the crossbar into goal. Georges-Philippe Kissinger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandre Santana in the 95th minute. União Sport Clube Paredes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dabi Saens in the 96th minute. The U21 Portugal fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. União Sport Clube Paredes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
