The audience thought a goal was coming when Frenkie de Jong got free with Norbert Tunyogi in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Netherlands's Tadej Pogačar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fakir Tufić in the 27th minute of play. Tadej Pogačar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Youri Spierenburg, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Norbert Tunyogi came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Guus Harmsen. But to his dismay, Guus Harmsen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Norbert Tunyogi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frenkie de Jong in the 33rd minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marian Ghiciușca couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frenkie de Jong in the 46th minute of play forced Białostocki KS's goalkeeper Norbert Tunyogi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fakir Tufić made the kick off in the second half.
