The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Kellbom in the 8th minute of play forced Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Corneliu Vulpăşin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Unicorns ™'s zone, Prosper Pike stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corneliu Vulpăşin came out of the goal and Prosper Pike tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, Damian Ghișe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corneliu Vulpăşin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prosper Pike in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Hans Kellbom ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Corneliu Vulpăşin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 29 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s Denis Negruț sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aaron Bergqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 35 minutes into the game, DIF LEEDS BK's Prosper Pike nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Corneliu Vulpăşin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Prosper Pike blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Corneliu Vulpăşin having to make a save. After some careless play in the Unicorns ™ defense, Ingvar Nordkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Corneliu Vulpăşin. The Unicorns ™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Corneliu Vulpăşin should have stopped the shot. Corneliu Vulpăşin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prosper Pike in the 45th minute of the match. The supporters of DIF LEEDS BK booed when Unicorns ™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Ştiubei didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute of the match Gustaf Vennerdal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Corneliu Vulpăşin skillfully saved the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Prosper Pike made the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in Unicorns ™ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 50th minute. Penalty! Elias Gustafsson shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After a rather tough play, Unicorns ™'s Codrin Boc got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 62nd minute, DIF LEEDS BK's Prosper Pike dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. In the 69th minute, Alex Răduț made a precise shot to the right of Aaron Bergqvist. DIF LEEDS BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Alex Răduț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Denis Negruț fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unicorns ™'s protests and gave Denis Negruț a yellow card for diving instead. Denis Negruț hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Corneliu Vulpăşin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ingvar Nordkvist. The supporters of DIF LEEDS BK booed when Unicorns ™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iacob Surdu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prosper Pike got free with Corneliu Vulpăşin in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd minute, Prosper Pike left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DIF LEEDS BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. In the 86th minute of the match, Holger Lidström tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Corneliu Vulpăşin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. DIF LEEDS BK were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Unicorns ™'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gustaf Vennerdal took the corner. DIF LEEDS BK's Gustaf Vennerdal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Corneliu Vulpăşin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 96 played minutes, DIF LEEDS BK's Oscar Löfkvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Corneliu Vulpăşin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in DIF LEEDS BK reached it. DIF LEEDS BK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
