The referee showed Matteo Borda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 40 played minutes Sliema Dragons FC got a freekick which was hit by Matteo Borda. Ryan Grima was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 44 played minutes, CoKoCha's Desiderio Emeterio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adrian Decelis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CoKoCha reached it. In the 46th minute Isaac Grimaud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Buyck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The CoKoCha players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sliema Dragons FC were winning 0-2.

Christopher Talbot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Roland Buyck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roland Buyck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyrone Casha, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The tension between the Sliema Dragons FC and the CoKoCha players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th minute, Harry Coppini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 87 played minutes Tyrone Casha rounded CoKoCha's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. A collision led to CoKoCha getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Justo Blasco hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's Matt Camenzuli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roland Buyck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, CoKoCha's Cecilio Montae got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Tyrone Casha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
