Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5626, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Mihály Földesi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Libertad Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 8 played minutes Gyál United got a freekick which was hit by Balázs Berta. Libertad Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 10 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goal looked a bit too open when Libertad Sarmiento came free, but Mihály Földesi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Balázs Berta hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Libertad Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Sociedad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Libertad Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Real Sociedad's Libertad Sarmiento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mihály Földesi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 24 minutes into the match, Libertad Sarmiento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mihály Földesi. Gyál United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Libertad Sarmiento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Libertad Sarmiento scored 0-4 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mihály Földesi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Vicente Millano put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Mihály Földesi. Mihály Földesi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Libertad Sarmiento went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Mihály Földesi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Millano, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th match minute, Gyál United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miklós Bodnár to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Real Sociedad were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vicente Millano made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goal looked a bit too open when Libertad Sarmiento came free, but Mihály Földesi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Real Sociedad's Frédéric Pantel got a free kick in the 54th minute. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Libertad Sarmiento sped through Gyál United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mihály Földesi. 61 minutes into the game, Libertad Sarmiento recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mihály Földesi. Libertad Sarmiento showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Géza Bozsik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sauveur Lisundia having to interfere. Vicente Millano succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-9 in the 67th playminute. The supporters of Real Sociedad booed when Gyál United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gábor Szaniszló didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 78 minutes of play, Real Sociedad's Vicente Millano made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mihály Földesi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mihály Földesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Libertad Sarmiento in the 83rd minute of play. With his leg Mihály Földesi managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Real Sociedad's Vicente Millano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Real Sociedad's Hubert Jouniaux got a free kick in the 89th minute. After 96 played minutes Real Sociedad got a freekick which was hit by Hubert Jouniaux. Real Sociedad's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
