After a rather tough play, Gyál United's Levente Nagy got a free kick in the 4th minute. Mihály Földesi was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Zoltán Szakál capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zoltán Szakál really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 9th minute, György Kerékgyártó hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferenc Baróti kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Mihály Földesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kálmán Kertész in the 15th minute of play. Levente Nagy hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Gyál United were furious when Zsolt Kaszás was red carded, 20 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Gyál United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dombiratosi Football Club:s goal. The referee gave Dombiratosi Football Club a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Attila Majer, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gyál United's Mihály Földesi. 2-0. Gyál United's Mihály Földesi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Gyál United from getting a goal against them. Géza Szarka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Mihály Földesi made a huge save. In the 32nd match minute, Dombiratosi Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ábel Bögi to maneuver through the defense. Csaba Kossuth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 40 minutes of play, Gyál United's Miklós Bodnár made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Balázs Nagy was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 46 minutes, Gusztáv Makkai made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gyál United's Mihály Földesi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
After a defensive mix-up in Gyál United's zone, Kálmán Kertész stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihály Földesi came out of the goal and Kálmán Kertész tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Levente Nagy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miklós Bodnár received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Balázs Nagy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute Kálmán Kertész shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihály Földesi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 minutes of play, Dombiratosi Football Club's Zoltán Szakál made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mihály Földesi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mihály Földesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gusztáv Makkai in the 69th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gyál United's Gábor Szaniszló got a free kick in the 69th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goal looked a bit too open when Zoltán Szakál came free, but Mihály Földesi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mihály Földesi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gusztáv Makkai in the 73rd minute of the match. When Dombiratosi Football Club's Kálmán Kertész in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Mihály Földesi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 81 minutes into the game, Miklós Bodnár was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gyál United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dombiratosi Football Club the free kick. After 82 played minutes Gyál United got a freekick which was hit by Miklós Bodnár. Mihály Földesi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gusztáv Makkai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Gyál United's Miklós Bodnár got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute of the match Attila Majer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mihály Földesi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Csaba Kossuth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gyál United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dombiratosi Football Club the free kick. Csaba Kossuth kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Gyál United's Mihály Földesi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zoltán Szakál in the 93rd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gyál United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dombiratosi Football Club.
