Ximenes Barnechea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Acevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teo Acevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teo Acevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With an all-out effort, Alianza Trujillo's Bakar Gopala Pillai threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hernán Barco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pascual Gaueko showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. When the match was over Rossobianco could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alianza Trujillo throughout the match.
