A collision led to MAFFIAN getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Pete Sampras hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Andre Agassi made a precise shot to the right of Leonardo Goyo. HURACAN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Joel Nuñez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aron Dahlbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Pero in the 17th minute of play. With a little luck, HURACAN's Leonardo Goyo got control of the ball when Pete Sampras tried to sneak it across the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, HURACAN's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Linberg came free, but Leonardo Goyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes of play, MAFFIAN's Vincent Linberg made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonardo Goyo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aron Dahlbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorio Diegotxe, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Victorio Diegotxe made a precise shot to the right of Aron Dahlbom. MAFFIAN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 34 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Diegotxe came free, but Aron Dahlbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andre Agassi got free with Leonardo Goyo in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joel Nuñez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Aron Dahlbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd match minute, MAFFIAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Östen Vennersten to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Goyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Linberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andre Agassi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in HURACAN's zone, Pete Sampras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Goyo came out of the goal and Pete Sampras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. MAFFIAN made a substitution. Alf Säfström replaced Greger Broberg. After 59 played minutes HURACAN got a freekick which was hit by Cosme Orain. MAFFIAN were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after HURACAN's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Börje Frisk took the corner. The supporters of MAFFIAN booed when HURACAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Pero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Börje Frisk sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonardo Goyo skillfully saved the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of HURACAN:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MAFFIAN:s goal. Leonardo Goyo had in the 72ndth minute some difficulties stopping Andre Agassi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Andre Agassi notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of HURACAN's Leonardo Goyo. Leonardo Goyo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leonardo Goyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Zachrisson, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Vincent Linberg charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vincent Linberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the MAFFIAN defense, Paulo Pero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aron Dahlbom. The MAFFIAN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aron Dahlbom should have stopped the shot. When Joel Nuñez came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the HURACAN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Nuñez couldn't finish the play. HURACAN's Leonardo Goyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pete Sampras in the 93rd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, HURACAN's goal looked a bit too open when Andre Agassi came free, but Leonardo Goyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of MAFFIAN booed when HURACAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Pero didn't get a good kick on the ball. MAFFIAN's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
