But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Eudoxio couldn't finish the play. SHADOW's Edmund Marchefka proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save SHADOW from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Henry got free with Edmund Marchefka in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute, Marcial Abar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmund Marchefka was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

One of SHADOW:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Habsburgo:s goal. Ignacy Gajewski hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Edmund Marchefka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Henry, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Marcial Abar scored 4-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmund Marchefka, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 64 minutes into the match, Edgardo Cordarin notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of SHADOW's Edmund Marchefka. Edmund Marchefka was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
