Equipo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Orzaize was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute, Feliks Haszczak reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gavino Eguntsenti. The goal made the score 1-1. When Klement Awizo fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Śląsk Bytom's protests and gave Klement Awizo a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 played minutes Equipo got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Neron. If Klement Awizo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Napoleon Wietrzychowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavino Eguntsenti. Equipo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Napoleon Wietrzychowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 43 minutes into the game, Honorio Arnas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Equipo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Śląsk Bytom the free kick. In the 43rd minute, Honorio Arnas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Śląsk Bytom booed when Equipo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Arnas didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feliks Haszczak to make the kick off. When Victor Orzaize came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Equipo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Orzaize couldn't finish the play. Equipo's Saverio Elivareo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Maciek Wróbel, made in the 65th minute of the game. A collision led to Equipo getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Saverio Elivareo hit a great ball. Astor Lon hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Gavino Eguntsenti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnaba Rudy in the 81st minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Feliks Haszczak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that Śląsk Bytom were the better team. Śląsk Bytom's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
