The supporters of ℬяїsтоl ℭiтџ ★ɓy ℳᾳxjgb★ booed when SC Braga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Pedroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. ℬяїsтоl ℭiтџ ★ɓy ℳᾳxjgb★'s Guillermo Barros-Schelloto got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as ℬяїsтоl ℭiтџ ★ɓy ℳᾳxjgb★'s Jimeno Torres slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Albérico Vilaverde. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Jimeno Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute Roberto Estebe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albérico Vilaverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Leandro Queirós got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 21 minutes of play, ℬяїsтоl ℭiтџ ★ɓy ℳᾳxjgb★'s Roberto Estebe made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albérico Vilaverde was left in no man's land by his defense there! 27 minutes into the match, Guillermo Barros-Schelloto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Albérico Vilaverde, 3-0. When Marcus Pollard came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the SC Braga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Pollard couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the match, Jimeno Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albérico Vilaverde. SC Braga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jimeno Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Albérico Vilaverde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Estebe in the 42nd minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcus Pollard was the one to do the kick off. Albérico Vilaverde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guillermo Barros-Schelloto's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After 56 minutes, Leandro Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Braga and the ℬяїsтоl ℭiтџ ★ɓy ℳᾳxjgb★ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 56 played minutes SC Braga got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Queirós. When Ricardo Vasques fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Braga's protests and gave Ricardo Vasques a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Abel Peralta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Belasko was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Nicanor Caradaro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Albérico Vilaverde. SC Braga's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Albérico Vilaverde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Barros-Schelloto in the 69th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Agustin Honrio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albérico Vilaverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel Peralta got free with Emanuel Belasko in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albérico Vilaverde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Barros-Schelloto in the 81st minute of the match. In the 87th minute Guillermo Barros-Schelloto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albérico Vilaverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel Peralta hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Albérico Vilaverde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Barros-Schelloto in the 94th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
