Spectators: 7510 (Terracing: 5633, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jan-Erik Tunberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Guðvin Skúlason shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Ståhlman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 minutes of play, Æsir Ásgarðr's Álfgeir Hannibalsson made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan-Åke Ståhlman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eldór Hreiðarsson made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Jan-Erik Tunberg sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Allan Ekgren during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Allan Ekgren kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sivert Bollström in the 22nd minute of play forced Æsir Ásgarðr's goalkeeper Eldór Hreiðarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Wargön's Jan-Erik Tunberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eldór Hreiðarsson. That made the score 1-2 after 26 minutes of play. Jan-Åke Ståhlman came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Æsir Ásgarðr's Guðvin Skúlason. But to his dismay, Guðvin Skúlason quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Allan Ekgren hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After 36 played minutes, Æsir Ásgarðr's Guðvin Skúlason shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jan-Åke Ståhlman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Æsir Ásgarðr reached it. Bosse Ba Loua kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Jan-Åke Ståhlman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rólant Ásbergsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 40th minute Rólant Ásbergsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Ståhlman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute Sivert Bollström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eldór Hreiðarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Álfgeir Hannibalsson was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Wargön booed when Æsir Ásgarðr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Safír Fannarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Æsir Ásgarðr's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Guðvin Skúlason in the 55th minute. The corner led Æsir Ásgarðr's Guðvin Skúlason to fire away a dangerous shot which Jan-Åke Ståhlman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 59th minute Álfgeir Hannibalsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Ståhlman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wargön's Aron J.J. quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mjölnir Elmarsson, made in the 66th minute of the game. Jan-Erik Tunberg kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Jan-Åke Ståhlman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guðvin Skúlason in the 69th minute. Sivert Bollström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wargön's Jan-Åke Ståhlman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álfgeir Hannibalsson in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Rólant Ásbergsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jan-Åke Ståhlman. The goal made the score 1-4. When Safír Fannarsson came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Æsir Ásgarðr fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Safír Fannarsson couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd match minute, Wargön was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Bo Abbas to maneuver through the defense. Rólant Ásbergsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th match minute, Æsir Ásgarðr was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigurkarl Ófeigsson to maneuver through the defense. If Jan-Erik Tunberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Æsir Ásgarðr's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
