Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hudson da Mata in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waldir Palmeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Joinville United - FSCMZ! The referee gave Tirense F.C. a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ronaldinho Rossi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Joinville United - FSCMZ's Claudinho Araújo. 0-1. Marcel de Amaral hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Joinville United - FSCMZ's Waldir Dias tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Tirense F.C.'s Alberto Abraão got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Waldir Palmeira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Waldir Dias. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Claudinho Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Garcia in the 26th minute of play. Tirense F.C.'s Waldir Palmeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Tirense F.C. from getting a goal against them. After 33 minutes of play, Joinville United - FSCMZ's Hudson da Mata made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Waldir Palmeira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tirense F.C.'s Waldir Palmeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Tirense F.C. from getting a goal against them. Daniel Dionísio struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Waldir Palmeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joinville United - FSCMZ. Richard de Azevedo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilberto Garcia to make the kick off. In the 69thth minute of the game Hudson da Mata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tirense F.C.'s Waldir Palmeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Joinville United - FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Joinville United - FSCMZ's Hudson da Mata looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Waldir Dias charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Waldir Dias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Waldir Palmeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hudson da Mata in the 86th minute of the match. Gilberto Garcia's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Claudinho Araújo firmly grabbed it by the left post.
