After 8 played minutes Squadra Demarchi got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Matorin. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Hermínio Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Squadra Demarchi's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermínio Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bahadır Ömür breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 15 played minutes F.C internazionale got a freekick which was hit by Asım Ergümen. Erhan Ayık sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Squadra Demarchi getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Bruno Matorin hit a great ball. With a little luck, Squadra Demarchi's Claudinei Leite got control of the ball when Ahmet Necdet Yücel tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erhan Ayık in the 24th minute of play forced Squadra Demarchi's goalkeeper Claudinei Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sidnei Bittencourt fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Squadra Demarchi's protests and gave Sidnei Bittencourt a yellow card for diving instead. Asım Ergümen struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Claudinei Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C internazionale. Hermínio Maia charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermínio Maia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Claudinei Leite was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
