In the 21st minute Rólant Ásbergsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinei Leite stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Álfgeir Hannibalsson's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Squadra Demarchi's Claudinei Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guðvin Skúlason in the 35th minute of play. Æsir Ásgarðr's Guðvin Skúlason was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Claudinei Leite in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Claudinei Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rólant Ásbergsson in the 37th minute of the match. Claudinei Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álfgeir Hannibalsson in the 39th minute of play. Claudinei Leite dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 44 minutes into the game, Álfgeir Hannibalsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Claudinei Leite was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Charles Simões made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Squadra Demarchi's zone, Safír Fannarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei Leite came out of the goal and Safír Fannarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudinei Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álfgeir Hannibalsson in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guðvin Skúlason in the 55th minute of play forced Squadra Demarchi's goalkeeper Claudinei Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Æsir Ásgarðr's Álfgeir Hannibalsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Claudinei Leite. Claudinei Leite yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. After having played for 62 minutes, Lárus Arnleifsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Æsir Ásgarðr's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lárus Arnleifsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claudinei Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álfgeir Hannibalsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Claudinei Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rólant Ásbergsson in the 65th minute of play. Álfgeir Hannibalsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Claudinei Leite came out and tried to block the shot, but Álfgeir Hannibalsson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 66th minute. Claudinei Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álfgeir Hannibalsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 77th minute of the game Hróar Sturluson made a throw-in which Safír Fannarsson played forward. Guðvin Skúlason could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Claudinei Leite made a huge save. A collision led to Squadra Demarchi getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Hermínio Maia hit a great ball. With a little luck, Squadra Demarchi's Claudinei Leite got control of the ball when Guðvin Skúlason tried to sneak it across the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Squadra Demarchi's goalkeeper Claudinei Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guðvin Skúlason. After 85 played minutes Æsir Ásgarðr got a freekick which was hit by Safír Fannarsson. The crowd rose to their feet as Æsir Ásgarðr's Lárus Arnleifsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudinei Leite. That made the score 0-8 after 88 minutes of play. Guðvin Skúlason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Æsir Ásgarðr left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Squadra Demarchi.
