Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Asier in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Baltasar Meder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo Batista in the 12th minute of the match. Baltasar Meder came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Ekzema F.V.'s Samuca Tróia. But to his dismay, Samuca Tróia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 19th minute, Carlos Fernando Novaes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Norberto Barreto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ekzema F.V.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edgardo Calvino was slow to take the kick. During this time Leones FC's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Quinto in the 24th minute of play forced Ekzema F.V.'s goalkeeper Norberto Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sílvio Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 28th minute of the match Edgardo Calvino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Norberto Barreto skillfully saved the ball. After 31 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Florinio. If Nicolas Bizi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ekzema F.V.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Martin Asier scored to the left of an out of position Norberto Barreto, making the score, 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Asier to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 69 minutes into the game, when Gavino Oliveiro put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Leones FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ekzema F.V.:s goal. If Nicolas Bizi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. Leones FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ekzema F.V. the free kick. In the 81stth minute of the game Pedro Luís de Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leones FC's Baltasar Meder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabinho Sarmento's late challenge caught a Leones FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabinho Sarmento helped the player get up and apologised. Fabinho Sarmento hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match.
